I got a cover file the other day from Susan Winsor, editor over at Corn & Soybean Digest. They’ve been a great stock client for several years now, and have garnered me well over a dozen covers during my time with them. I like this one a lot; it’s a stock shot from a farm insurance shoot and the situation was photographed on a whim. Seems like those photos always turn out to be some of the best from a shoot.
Painful, but a good exercise in self-editing and looking through images that were not necessarily functional, but just plain fun for me. Some are outtakes, some are portfolio pieces, and most aren’t from my “usual” assignments and clients. I just happen to like them for one reason or another. You can view the gallery here.
I shot in something like 22 states in 2012, and visited my final state; Delaware. Hard to believe I’ve been to all 50 now, it’s almost a letdown…I used to keep a list of where I hadn’t been, and when 2012 began, I only had one left to go.
So, take a look at the gallery and let me know what you think! I’ll try to do this every year from here on out.
